Jenn has a passion and a talent for educating young minds! She encourages students to meet high expectations as they build confidence and curiosity in the classroom environment. Jenn takes pride in creating developmentally-appropriate learning experiences for her students to support each child’s progress on their individual learning journey.
Prior to opening Little Lightbulbs, Jenn taught Kindergarten for ten years! Most recently, she taught at Brookwood and Copperhaven schools in Spruce Grove. This background gives her a unique understanding of skills that should be fostered in preschool to help prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond. While teaching Kindergarten, Jenn developed a special interest in supporting students with special needs and differing abilities; she readily applies these skills in the preschool classroom too!
Jenn proudly holds two degrees from the University of Alberta – BSc (Mathematics & Biology) and BEd (Elementary After-Degree). During her time teaching, Jenn also served as an executive member of the Early Childhood Education Council of the Alberta Teachers’ Association.
